What’s in store for Homeschooling-ideas.com
In March, www.homeschooling-ideas.com had its 5th birthday!
Five years ago I nervously hit ‘post’ on my first page. Since then, thanks to you lovely readers, the website has gone from strength to strength. And as it grew, so did my ideas about what I wanted from it, what I wanted for you, and what I could realistically accomplish 🙂
Some things have worked really well, and others have been quietly sidelined!
Since I finally took the plunge and put my Facebook page up it has been easier for me to listen to you all about what you want and need – and to try to make the site more of a community.
Everytime I run a poll or survey of some kind, I get people telling me that what they find the most valuable is ideas for resources and materials.
So what will the next 5 years bring? Would you like to hear my plan?
Remember in my last post I talked about acorns? Well – my acorn is up and running. And it is…..
A Store!
This is a biggie for me.
Homeschooling-ideas has a new store.
It is only little now but I am working with sellers to fill it with fantastic, interesting, creative and unusual products 🙂
I want to find those resources and materials you are looking for – and pull them together in one place. You know, that cool stuff you sometimes come across online but have to really search for? Well now, it will all have a home.
It isn’t there yet. In fact it looks a bit empty given how much time and effort it has already taken up! I have never put up a store before and it has been quite a learning curve. But it is open for business and looking for love!
I am hoping this is something I can become proud of. And something you find a LOT of benefit in.
What do you think? Am I totally mad? Or just a bit weird to be getting so excited about this! Leave me a comment and let me know.
PS – Know someone with a downloadable product that you think homeschoolers will love? Tell them to check out my sellers information page.
This is a great idea. It will be really useful to find a place where all the best things for homeschoolers can be found. The store looks fantastic. I’m going to share it on twitter, facebook and everywhere else I can.
Well done!
Sonya
Thanks Sonya!
