The Nitty-Gritty of Homeschool Scheduling – Planning your Best Homeschool Year Yet
Welcome to Part 7 of my step by step guide to planning your best homeschool year yet!
So far we have asked ourselves important questions about our homeschooling and decided how we feel about it! We have brainstormed and we have dreamboarded our vision.
Now it is time to get into the nitty-gritty 🙂 Given all that we have done so far – what should you actually be doing during your homeschooling.
This step is going to take some time, so grab a coffee and a notebook (or my workbook and planner). Then start making lists for the following areas :
Try to keep your previous dreams in mind when writing your lists. Does something you add support your dreams?
For example, if you want to have an adventurous year then don’t add the same old places you always go – add some new field trip ideas to your list. List movies about geography and adventuring. Think about what new skills or habits would fit with this theme.
Don’t feel you have to write down every single homeschool resource  idea you want to use during the year. Just make a start. More and more materials and resources will pop up as you go along. Particularly if you sign up for my homeschooling ideas newsletter 🙂
If you aren’t happy working on paper, then do go electronic! Make lists on your phone – or how about setting up a series of pinterest boards? Whatever works best for you.
When you have spent some time doing this, let me know how it went in the comments!
