Best Homeschooling Year Yet
I am excited to launch a new series of blog posts sharing my process for designing your Best Homeschool Year Yet!
Each year, around this time, my thoughts turn to planning my homeschooling.
You may have heard that homeschooling is a lifestyle! I think it is so much more than simply educating your children. But the years flash past and before you know it the children are grown and gone. My daughter is 15 now. 15! I am not sure how that happened, but I know that I want to make the most of the last few years of homeschooling that we have together.
How I planned my Best Homeschool Year Yet
This year, I decided that we were going to have our best homeschool year yet. The problem -> I wasn’t sure what that would involve. And even if I could design it, I know that ‘other things’ always get in the way of my plans and derail me.
So I sat down and designed myself a process in the form of a workbook – and a planner to keep me on track. I didn’t want a ‘normal’ homeschool planner. We don’t (and have never) followed a curriculum. I don’t do lesson plans. Our learning is eclectic and sporadic! But I did want to plan a wonderfully fantastic year for my family – and have something in place to guide me through the year.
Pulling all this together has been an amazing experience for me. I wish I had done it sooner. I feel clearer about what I want from homeschooling than I think I have ever felt. I feel inspired and motivated and am excited about the year ahead.
What I want to do now is to share the process with you, in the hope that you will get something from it too.
New Series
Over the next few weeks, I have planned a series of blog posts to walk you through designing your best homeschool year yet. We will start at the beginning and look at what you really want in your homeschooling. We will dream big dreams and set goals. Then I will help you turn your dreams into an action plan that will help you schedule your new homeschool year.
And if you would like my workbook and planner to go along with it, then it is available in the homeschooling-ideas store.
So buckle up and stay tuned to this blog for the first installment coming soon. You can sign up for updates from the blog in the top right corner so you don’t miss a thing 🙂
I cant wait
